As a former prosecutor, I left the law 30 years ago to open an upscale beauty boutique in Alexandria, Virginia. I’ve always had a creative side and had an interest in interior design, but when I couldn’t find my favorite beauty products after moving to town, I decided to open a boutique to sell them myself. After my first big sales were of the furniture I used for displaying products, I wondered if I should’ve opened a home furnishings store instead.
Finally, after 21 years of running the successful beauty store, I decided to sell it in order to pursue my passion for interiors. Having recently opened my interior design showroom, I offer a mix of new, vintage and antique furnishings. When I’m not overseeing one of my interior design projects, I am usually out hunting for items for the showroom. Finding treasures is one of my favorite past times.
